What an amazing week we had! β¨
We want to give a huge shoutout to our 7th grade students for their incredible Shakespeare Unshackled performances! ππΌ Their hard work, creativity, and confidence truly shined on stage. Thank you to all the families who came out to support themβyour presence made the experience even more special for our students.
We also had an absolute blast at Family Fun Night at the Reign hockey game! It was a great evening of community, laughter, and cheering. A special congratulations to our Colorguard, who wowed the crowd with their fantastic performance during the game. Weβre so proud of their dedication and talent! ππ
Looking ahead, this week marks the start of ELA CAASPP testing for students in grades 3β8. πPlease help your child come to school well-rested and ready to do their best. π

This week, our 3rdβ8th grade students will be participating in the ELA portion of the CAASPP testing. Testing will take place throughout the week, with Friday reserved as a make-up day for any students who are absent or need additional time to complete their assessments.
We encourage students to get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time each day.

Weβre excited to share that on Thursday, May 2nd, our Christian Club will be hosting a Food Drive and Blood Drive on campus!
This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together in support of those in need. Non-perishable food items will be collected for local food banks, and blood donations will support regional hospitals and patients in critical need.
More details, including donation times, guidelines and a sign up are shared in the flyers below. If you'd like to sign up for the blood drive, you will need to make an appointment under Chino Drives on the LifeStream website.
We encourage everyone who is able to participate in one or both drives and help make a difference!

Do you or someone you know work in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) field? We are hosting aΒ Career Expo at STEAM NightΒ onΒ 5/16Β and are looking for professionals to showcase their careers in an engaging, hands-on way!
This is a great opportunity to inspire students and show how STEAM skills are used in the real world. Each presenter will have a booth where they can share about their job and provide a hands-on demonstration or activity related to their work.

As the end of the school year approaches, we are excited to celebrate the achievements of our 8th-grade students and honor their hard work and dedication. One of the highlights of our promotion ceremony is a slideshow featuring photos of our 8th-grade students from their early childhood through their time at ASA.
We would like to request your assistance in collecting four to six (4-6) photos of your child, including one from early childhood (baby pictures), to be included in the slideshow. if you could also provide a brief message to your child to be included in the slideshow. This could be a message of congratulations or encouragement for their future.

Dear 5th Grade Families,
We would like to inform you that the CIMI Catalina field trip originally scheduled forΒ 2/14- 2/16Β wasΒ rescheduledΒ due to weather conditions that were expected to impact the safety and enjoyment of the trip.
The new date for the field trip will beΒ May 16-18, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all students. Please make note of this new date and continue to have your child prepared for the trip as previously discussed. We will continue to provide updates as needed to help you and your child prepare for the trip.
